Bridal tip

As I am getting married in 9 weeks time! I thought I would bridal tip post, just posting something that has really helped me plan the wedding and hopefully help you, because let me tell you now it can get very stressful!

So here it is Bridal Tip #1

Go to as many wedding fayres as you can and as early as you can! It might sound simple but some people forget that there are wedding showcases available and its a great way to see what is on offer and to also get some ideas.

I went to my first wedding fairs just a month after I got engaged and thought I knew what goes on in a wedding and what is required, but boy was I wrong! I left feeling overwhelmed and frustrated!! There is so much that goes into a wedding that you forget about - what kind of material chair covers you want, what colour, what pattern, photographers, invitations, save the date cards, what the veggies and anyone will allergies will eat, the list goes on! But as you go to different wedding fairs, you get a gist of what is required and are able to see what is on offer. This will allow you to put a list together and tick off what you have already sorted out.

Take loads of photos as this can really help when you want to look back, otherwise you will end up with a bag full of leaflets and forget who you actually thought was really good.

I would probably recommend taking a friend or your mum etc, with you to your first wedding fairs because no offence other half but you suck with wedding stuff and I know that all you want to do is go home.

Once when you have a better idea of what you need for your wedding, take your other half to the next one and bribe them with free cake!

This is a great website to see what is going on local to you https://www.weddingfairs.com/

Just type in your city/ postcode and it will give you a list of different wedding fairs and when they are.

Photobooth fun

Good luck!

Wow - its been a while

So here I was bored at work and I suddenly remembered that I used to write a blog, not a very good blog but hey I had a few followers.

It has been 4 years since my last post and a lot has changed! I have now graduated university and have a Software Engineering degree! It was a tough 4 years but I'm glad that I have made it to the other side (queue 'Hello' by Adele playing in my head right now) Andddd for the big news I am engaged and to be married in May! 9 weeks away!!

We got engaged last Valentine's day and have known each for 11 years as best friends! (soppy huh?)

I wish I could say that I will be posting regularly but I said that last time and 4 years had just passed by, but hopefully life doesn't take over again.

Hopefully speak to you soon.

Spring Inspired Plaits

source google

Its finally starting to feel like spring in England :D So what better reason to celebrate by getting in the spirit with these amazing plaits perfect for spring. I love all these different ways of making a simple plait so stylish. I think my favourite has to be Blake Lively's messy pony tail with a fish tail and I also love the Katniss Everdeen's dutch braid into a plait, you can find out how to do this here.

Which spring inspired plait are you loving?

Nars velvet matte lip pencil - Damned

I bought the lip pencil quite a while ago in a blog sale and I absolutely LOVE IT! I love thats its matte and its so easy to apply. Its really creamy so it just glides on.

Damned is a lovely deep pink/plum colour. I have been wearing it so much during autumn and winter, when the vampie lip colour was in. This is a really good alternative for if you what to get the vampie look but don't want to go too dark.

I love the quality of the Nars lip pencils and will definitely be getting more. You can get them here :D

Have you tried the Nars velvet lip pencils yet?

Mac - Shop Mac Cook Mac Haul

Hi my lovelies. Have you checked the Shop Mac Cook Mac collection. I really liked that it looks so bright and quirky. The bad thing is that it is only exclusive at Selfridges. I was in luck because I went to Manchester where they have 2 big Selfridges stores.

So when I first saw the collection, I wanted to get the blush in Florida and get a few lipsticks but when I actually got there I surprised myself by actually not buying 2 items :D.

I bought the Blush in Restores Dazzle

top - mac breezy  bottom - restores dazzle

So Restores Dazzle which is a cream blush is such a pretty colour. I would describe it as a pinky plum colour. Don't be alarmed by how scary it looks in the pan, trust me its a lovely colour especially for spring/summer. I love the consistency of the blush - it doesn't feel greasy at all. Just be careful because it really is pigmented so a little goes a long way!

I actually thought that Restores Dazzle was a cream blush version of Breezy but as you can see Restores Dazzle is more pigmented and its a bit more plumy.

So the second thing that I bought was Dish it up which is a lustre. I would describe it as a bright pinky violet with blue under tones. I love that its really creamy. This is my first Mac lipstick and I finally understand why there is so much hype about their lipsticks. The quality is really good and I already know that I'm going to go back for more. Below are photos of what it looks like on me.

I took the photo again without the bright pink top.

excuse my pjs and hair (I just got out of the shower)

I hope you enjoyed  the post. Have you tried the collection out yet? What do you think of the items that i got?

MAC Cremeblend Blush - Posey

Hi my lovely ones. Hope you are all having a good Saturday. England is starting to warm up which I'm happy about :) Anyway I recently purchased my first cream blush from MAC which is Posey which I have heard so much about and I'm so glad I got it. Its a really beautiful colour that looks beautiful on any skin colour. Its a beautiful dark coral

What I love about it
  • Its a lovely dark coral perfect for spring
  • It doesn't feel greasy on the skin or make your face look oily. It adds a lovely dewy finish.
  • It doesn't look chalky as some blushes can
  • Its really pigmented thus showing up on all skin colours
  • Its easily build able, so you can apply light or heavier depending on your mood
I have no negatives about this blush and I know already that this is going to be used loads by me :D I'm really happy about the quality of this blush and as soon as I run out of this, I am definitely going to repurchase it.

What are your thoughts on Posey?
