Lush Haul!

Hey Guys!
Wow its been like forever since I last blogged. Sorry that I have been so MIA. I've just been so busy with uni and the work load is crazy.
Anyway I wanted to share with you all what I got from Lush. To those who don't know, Lush have a 50% sale on all their Christmas items.

I love love love the Think Pink gift set. If you are unsure about what you want for valentines day then Get This. I for sure am going to get it again. I love the products that they have put inside it.

So my lovely boyfriend bought me the Think Pink gift which retails at £39.99 but it was 50% off, so like £20. Which is a bargain for 11 products from Lush. I've wanted to get this one for ages because the packaging is so cute, it includes a lot of really good products and everything is PINK!

Blush my world - Nars - Cactus Flower

I have been needing to write a blog post about this blush for a long time but never got round to it. So here it is.

left to right - calypso coral and cactus flower
My thoughts
I really do love this blush and have been wearing this throughout summer. Its a cream blush and is corally red shade with lots of shimmer. The texture is light compared to Bobbi Brown Calypso Coral which i think feel quite greasy when touching it however the problem goes when its applied. Cactus Flower does look scary in the pan, but once applied it gives a natural look. I think it is very complimenting on warm and cool skin tones but just be careful not to apply to much on cooler skin tones. Cactus Flower is quite pigmented but not as much compared to Calypso Coral.

Calypso Coral or Cactus Flower?
That is so hard for me to answer because I love both of these blushes. I would say go for Cactus flower if you want a subtle coral red colour. Or Calypso Coral is you want a true Coral pink shade with no shimmer. Or you could buy both, they are quite different to each other. I like to apply cream blushes with my fingers but you can apply it with a flat top brush or an angled contour blush.

Calypso Coral is priced at £19.00 and Cactus Flower at £20.50

Movie Review - Water For Elephants

Plot Summary: During the Great Depression, Jacob, a penniless and recently-orphaned veterinary school student, parlays his expertise with animals into a job with a second-rate traveling circus. He falls in love with Marlena, one of the show's star performers, but their romance is complicated by Marlena's husband, the charismatic but unbalanced circus boss.

My Thoughts: I have to say that I wasn't really expecting much from this film it was just something to watch to pass time. But now that I have watched it,  IT IS SUCH A GOOD FILM!
I loved every minute it of it and would recommend everyone watches it. The movie stars the beautiful Reece Witherspoon and hunky Robert Pattinson. The acting in this film is very good and I love the way it was put together. Its not really a classic Romantic film and has such a good story line. Its basically about his life in the circus and forbidden love.
I would give this a 8/10 and is a film to watch.

NOTD - Rimmel Sky High

This has to be my favorite nail polish at the moment. It beautiful bright turquoise blue and looks so pretty on. It really compliments my skin tone in my opinion. Two coats is enough as it is not as sheer as the 17 polish. I think that you should all go out and buy it because its a must have, if you love bright colours.

What colours are you loving at the moment?

NOTD - 17 Tropical Island

So I went into boots (drugstore in England) searching for a coral nail varnish and came across this nail varnish by Boots own brand 17. Its cheap and cheerful costing only £2.99, therefore is great as a first coral varnish.

My thoughts - This is lovely orangey coral colour with gold sparkles, its looking really orange in the pictures but it is coral with a hint of orange. It looks so pretty but it is very sheer so 3 coats is needed for it to really like a proper nail varnish should. But hey what to expect for the price right? I recommend this to anyone looking for a cheap coral colour but be prepared to add a few coats. Oh and it dries quite fast.
